Below are some... stamps I think? Whatever they're called, I like these ones.
Read it at your own risk; content warnings are in bold on the webpage for it.
That's all for this update.
I've started my classes, though my major itself (Web and Interactive Media Design) doesn't start until the 9th. They're going good, so that's good.
I've updated the info on the left, separating "Movies/Shows/Anime" into three separate categories, as well as adding a new category for books; I've also added a few more entries to the favorites lists. The sections in the info where I list that I'm bi and trans now have their text coloring removed; instead, I've opted to add a small pride flag next to each word.
That's pretty much it. I know I barely update this site, but I'm going to keep trying to not forget about it. Once I get far into my major, I'll probably clean up and optimize some of the code that goes into it as well.
Oh, and I also removed the guestbook feature, as 123guestbook has shut down. So, that kinda sucks.
So I'm starting college in the fall! So that's pretty cool! Going for web design and graphic design. I forget the actual name of the major, but still! I'm excited!
Otherwise, I know I haven't updated the site, like, at all for over a month. I'm still trying to update the site when I have anything to add, but I don't really have much to put here lmao
There's a new Life Story, but that's about it.
I'm a huge fan of Fallout, especially New Vegas. I've been skeptical of Todd Howard's changes to the lore for a while now, and I was genuinely scared that I was going to hate this show... But it blew my mind how good it was. My girlfriend, who doesn't know much outside what I've told her about the franchise, and I binged the show in one day. We loved it!
While it does make some new additions to the lore (like Shady Sands falling around 2277, and getting destroyed sometime between New Vegas and the show), I actually really liked these changes (even if the NCR has basically fallen now), and I'm excited to see what we get next in the series, and what references we can see in the games.
Speaking of the games, there was a next-gen update for Fallout 4 that I still have not played around with yet. I've been playing it modded (Sim Settlements 2 is amazing btw), and have been avoiding the update since it's currently not playable with any script extender mods.
My birthday passed recently, which is nice. Celebrated with my girlfriend. She actually got me some of the Jones Nuka Cola Victory, which is really good. The caps are even redesigned to look like worn caps with the Nuka Cola Victory logo on it.
I got into college for web design, and am currently in the process of completing registration.
And that's about it!
I should put my NCR flag back up...
Decided to mess with the stamps section, give it a border and background color to match its fellow divs. This also helps center the stamps so they're not slightly more to the right. More aesthetically pleasing, I guess.
I know it's been a bit since I've updated the site, but I promise I haven't forgotten about it. Not sure how many people even view this site, let alone check it out every so often for updates, but if you're interested, then there are more life stories on their way. I've just got to take the time to write them all down, y'know?
Anyway, very small update here. I've been trying to eat healthier, walk every day, etc. Been out of weed for a fair bit now, and I realized just how high in calories and sugar my favorite energy drink (Loca Moca Java Monster) is, so those two factors have severely impacted my will to update the site (I know it sounds silly, but weed + energy drink = productive Lilly).
Over on the right side, just click on the cat!
I did some Google Fu and found this neat thing from Neocities called Chattable! It's linked in my stamps - just click on their logo.
But yeah, now all the stories have a comments section that I will be moderating.
So I think I'm going to go back to college soon. I'm finally ready this time, and I'm at a good place in my life to do this. I'll major in web design at a community college where I am. I like doing this, and I think I could do this for a career.
Things are looking up, it seems. I've got a good feeling about this, and I've got my girlfriend and a lot of friends backing me up nowadays. I think I'm ready for this, finally.
Also a new entry in Life Stories is available.
So I've updated the site again. It's got links to other pages now, including a list of short stories I've written over the years, as well as some life stories (though there's currently only one of the latter).
Not much else to report though.
Yeah, I guess I might just use it as such. Anyway, hi, I'm Lilly. The username is intentionally misspelled. I was all for anonymity, but eh fuck it.
I figure this is an easy way to retrain my HTML/CSS skills, so I might as well use it to document some stuff in my life. It might actually benefit my mental health like when I journal, who knows? I won't be revealing anything too personal though, for obvious reasons.
So, I turn 26 next month, which is... wow. Teenage me never imagined living this long, so it's sorta like I'm going by the seat of my pants as I get further into adulthood. Then again, my upbringing has sort of stunted me for a variety of reasons. The most obvious to me is that my parents were only 19 when they had me, so at 26 they had a 7 year old. I could not imagine myself being able to take care of a 7 year old at this time in my life (though my folks weren't exactly ready to be parents either). I don't think I'll be able to be a parent for at least another decade, but honestly I think that's a good thing. It means I have a lot to learn before then, a lot more growing to do in the mean time.
When you're a kid, you look up at the adults around you and think, "Wow, they have it all figured out!" but as I've gotten into my 20s it's become pretty clear that we're all kinda just... still figuring shit out. And not just people in their 20s (late Millennials and early Gen Zs), I mean that most people my parents' age (26+19; I can't be bothered to do math right now) and older are still just figuring it all out. We're all trying to find our places in the world, trying to understand who we are, etc.
Apologies if this sounds like some poetic garbage or whatever.
Well, I wanted to try to get back into HTML and CSS, since I first learned both programming languages back in high school. I graduated back in 2016, so it's been a bit of time, and I've gotten rusty. I'm actually now considering going back to school for a web design certification/degree/whatever it's called, since the more I get back into learning web design, the more I enjoy it and think that it could be a viable career option for me.
In case you're wondering, the font for the head of the page is SaturnBoingNew by Reddit user u/coolguybrendyn. Meanwhile the font these paragraphs are typed in is BubblegumSans.
Shh... don't wake her up.
